If you're going for the cefiro, go for the V6 versions... 230jm
(or 350jm if you can afford). The cefiro's V6 engines are
award-winning, definitely leagues ahead of the camry's, just go
test drive it and you'll know. You'll love the nice muted low pitch
growl from the engine whenever you rev. Otherwise at low revs, the
engine is practically silent. And if you compare the specs between
the cefiro 230jm and the camry 2.4 you'll find that the cefiro has
almost 20 more horses than the camry. But however the difference
does not translate onto real-world straight line acceleration gains
as the cefiro has a much heavier body than the camry.. which also
probably explains the higher FC for the cefiro compared to the
camry.
So far my cefiro is doing around 7.2-7.8 km/L, but i hope it will
improve as it has yet to reach the 1000km mark.
The interior of the cefiro is much nicer than the camry's lor...
get into one and you'll know. The furniture-quality wood veneer
beats that shiny plastic 'wood' on the camry anytime. And frankly,
the zen design of the cefiro's interior looks more pleasing to the
eye than the plain design of the camry's. But as Fondue pointed
out, the radio of the cefiro looks terribly out-of-place. But no
worries... if you get the 350jm, you get the nice, integrated
digital aircon and radio instead.
As i've read in a car review before, the Cefiro was described as a
'true limousine with a sports car engine'. And i can't agree more.
