The new rates for public carparks and season parking
have been released by HDB and URA – it’s bad news for
motorists.
Starting from December this year, public carpark rates
will increase 10c from 50c to 60c per half
hour. For carparks that are inside the restricted zone and
designated areas, rates are raised 20c from $1.00 to $1.20 per half
hour.
Season parking rates are going up as well. Surface
carpark rate will increase $15 from $65 to $80 per month, and by
$20 for sheltered carpark rate from $90 to $110 per month. Season
parking for second and subsequent cars increase $25 and $30 for
surface and sheltered carpark respectively. You can see the current

New coupons will go on sale from 1 December 2016.
Motorists can also exchange their unused old coupons for new ones
from early October onwards and by topping up the difference in
value.
