Nonetheless, it MAY be dedicated (as they may say), but I'll not
be fooled again.."dedicated" in terms of internet access means a
dedicated line from subscriber's house all the way to the HQ of the
service provider..BUT the internet, at the end of the day, is
SHARED..so no matter how dedicated your signal is to the HQ, when
HQ sends your request out to the Internet cloud, it's all
SHARED..so in the end, throughput is still affected by how many
people are surfing the net at the same time, dedicated or not
dedicated..don't be fooled..
They say max. speed of 512Kbps, that's only theoratical..This speed
can NEVER be achieved no matter how "DEDICATED" is your line..the
actual throughput will ALWAYS be less than the max. theoratical
speed stated by SP..
I'm using the 12Mbps plan from Starhub..12Mbps sounds fast, but
I've tried a real-time test, my throughput during peak-hours is
"only" 7Mbps..and during off-peak times? 10-11Mbps..thus showing
that the max. speed of 12Mbps can NEVER be achieved..
