New march owners,

Pls take note of your side mirrors, the car apparently will look further behind your tail, may be abt 2 cars length.

But in reality the car is abt 1 car away or a few meters away. The side mirror will miss lead you to misjudge the distance of the car behind you.
So please check blind spot or try to have at least 2 to 3 cars length of clearance before you over take.

3 basic steps of checking a new car,

1. Check !
2. Check !!
3. Check !!!

Guy and Gals...! pls share and comment ... true or false regards to the side mirrors. I know a few of you had encounter close moments of misjuding the car distance on your tail.

purecat SG

ermm... any list of items to check ?? first time buying car no experience.

NYC_MiCra SG

Yup ! Vandagal is our hardworking HR / Recuritment Manger for de club. She will give out invites to march owners if she sees one on the road/carpark !
Not forgetting the credits goes to her and the rest who gives out invite slips too.

So join us for our next meet up, there will be club Car decals and Polo t's for purchase !

Tks to all........!

Wheels on Fire SG

Yah, got my own encounters of the close kind. It's called a wide angle mirror. Prior to buying March, i test drove a few other newer korean & jap cars. Seemed like it's trend among the car makers to install such side mirror bcos majority had such side mirror as standard. Some more got sticker on the mirror to warn drivers of the optical illusion. The brochure claim improved visibility. Shocked Shocked Shocked Exactly how it does that is beyond me . All i know is it nearly cost me some accidents!

Now i have learn to trust my own judgement by:
1. Check blind spot!
2. Check blind spot!!
3. Check blind spot!!! Got it Razz

purecat SG

ermm... actually do anyone uses the front mirror in the car ? i actually use this & the driver's side mirror... the left mirror i realise i seldom use.

+ checking blind spots of course.

melmok SG

I actually use all the mirrors.... side to see if can change lanes...
rear-view to see if anyone tailgates....
and look around to see if anyone spot my march!...hahaha Wink
