you will need the extra skills, esp with sillyporeans on our roads. go for it if you can afford time and money.

yeah, the third party horn is damn loud and good, compared to the stock ones. sounds like expensive cars, at least pple will turn their heads to look out, only to find that the horn is from a tiny car, hee hee...

some got it fixed at between $50 to $35. only half hour job. definitely worth it.

hi bro, someone told me that in order to fix the horn, they got to remove the front bumper and number plate, as mine was a weekend car, is it alot of trouble to remove the number plate? thanks

Hey Zuki, u might not have noticed that u cannot activate the horn by just depressing any part of the round centre piece. U have to sound the horn by pressing on the left or the right side of the round piece where there's a trumpet logo on it. that's the only 2 parts that u can successfully sound the horn of our marchies without any great effort!

oh ya 1 more thing.....u do not need to remove the front bumper to change the horn. Wink couple of our guys have done it already. no prob at all! Very Happy

she was spending a night there at the hotel....with someone....

and parked her car at the hotel carpark.

yeah, dun need to remove the no. plate lar, just the front wing grille (like honeycomb that piece).

indeed many of us done the installation already. wanna try the sound? very addictive one.

if you are are more adventurous can install the REAL air horn type, played to the tune of "GodFather". dunno if its still in NYC's car, its illegal though.

anyone has AIG insurance and claim 3rd party before in tan chong ?

kena kissed behind. went back TC. They say have to claim against my own insurance and pay excess. NCD will be deducted. Then they submit a 3rd party claim. If can recover at least 80%, then the NCD reinstate. but this process will take 6-8 mths depending on the other party's insurers. Some more must pester to get the discharge letter from the other party before ncd reinstate.

Anyone has any experience ? or is it better to go other aig's authorised workshop ?

Yeah some place no need to remove the bumper some place they do. Depending which workshop you go to. If I did not remember wrongly, the place that removes the bumper is slightly cheaper.

yes the theif happened in Furma Waterfront Hotel..the car is in a bad shape..
they use crowbars to force open the driver seat door...the poor door is now 45% opened and has very twisted corners.

The other thing the tried to use crowbars to open the front engine boot... now it cannot be closed tight.

Glass replacement cannot be found in Sg.

Door replacement cost SGD350.00

Total repair and repainting is around SGD2,000.00

I am working to claim damages from the Hotel with the other two victims.

Wonder how it happen as the security is just below the happening place. With all the noise from the smashing of the windows should be loud enought for them to see the theif. This is the point we will fight on.

Insurance can only claim on vandalism...and will loose the NCB if I claim on my own.

The Mercedeze was badly vandaised..his bonnet out, his was a more sorry state then mine is. But he did say I am too very badly hurt.

well for my 1 cent worth..........if there is a exclusion note pasted on the carpark entrance saying they the hotel is liable for any break-ins or stolen items in the car then there will be a Big problem..............then lawyers have to come in to see if there is a loop-hole why no guards, no cameras, why only the 3 cars were the targets.

Tell the hotel that u will get the press it on it and zouk people and all others will get wind of this news saying that the hotel was too lakx on this safety matter that anyone can come in to break-in............if there was crazy bomber/ crazy robber like in Kl who murder the gal in the carpark??

don’t know about car alarms, they always go to engine to stop the alarm..smart robbers

hi, i been told by a friend via msn that your car have been broken into thus my reply to you.

The car alarm would have stop them from creating greater damage.
As to break into the car engine to stop the alarm, its not an easy task to do that nor is it hard to stop the alarm but it will be a real challenge for them to disable the alarm as security guards might just arrive due to all the noise and lights from your car..
But i will still say that a car alarm would/might have scared them away for obvious reason(s)..

I have a car alarm installed(crimestopper) and my sensitivity is set to medium..anyhow thats beside the point, if you are interested in getting an alarm please email me and i will tell you the cost and where to install it because not all alarms are compatible for the k12, if you install the wrong alarm then you might run into alot of problems with the immobilizer and of cos you wouldnt be able to use the auto engine start function etc etc that comes with the alarm as well, but the good thing is that you are still able to use the remote door commander that came from Tan Chong...

oh my gosh...Itz sooo good to see an old boy street racer frd back here agn giving his valuable advice to all time BWC..On behalf of this HAPPY BWC, I thank you very much for solving our problems again, and again and again, though you already swear not to come in here and mingle ard with BWC again..Duno why dun wana come in here but maybe it will tarnish ur image as a K12 street racer...well faded,better heed to his advice as closely as possible, if not will lose out more next time man...

Get his alarm and set it to super high..then I think that no one dares to touch your car in the near future juz like his ride man...hey dude,come in more to give advice to us lah, because dun have you for sooo long, this type of things happen liao man...

If the dis-claiming liability note is pasted only after you enter the carpark, meaning after you pay cross the barrier, then there is a good chance that if you engage a lawyer to fight the case, will win...
