Every man in Singapore will one day dedicate their ass to the Army and after two years they will be gone. I respect them for what they do, for their dedication of their time, sweat and maybe even blood for the safety of our country. I will wish others to think the same for me when I get conscripted too.

I'll only give up my seat if he looks damn tired or something, but this applies to everyone, not just our Army boys.

I do give up my seats when I see someone who needs it more come along... But sometimes when I sit at the back of the bus, I can still see those who need it coming over... It's not like those kids in front need it more than this old lady who is carrying groceries back home... Confused

Everybody WAS given the option to serve NS. In fact, you are given the option two times...

When the letter was sent to you to register for NS and medical checkup. You chose to go to CMPB.

After CMPB, another letter was sent to you to report to your camp for enlistment. You chose to go.

nobody pointed a gun at you to go register/enlist.
