Oh normally I would recommend the Sky Train (BTS) to the tourist
traps, after all the BTS is only a short 5 minutes walk away.
Talking about tourist traps!
If anyone should ever go to the GRAND PALACE or be
approached by ANYONE saying that any tourist attraction is closed,
or that it is a SPECIAL RELIGIOUS DAY, please do not believe them!
This is the famous GEM SCAM. They will volunteer to bring you to
various temples for only 20b - 40b on Tuk-tuks.
They actual aim is to lure you to GEM SHOPS that sells low quality
gems at absurd prices!
My parents were nearly victimised, fortunately I could speak Thai
and know quite alot of people here, a quick call to my friends
confirmed that it was not a religious day.
