Legalization of cannabis use for medical reasons has been proposed but so far not accepted both in the US and the UK. The evidence for the use of cannabis in...

Oh yes......your new friend.

And you know your new friend from where?

It seems like you dont have problems with new friends as long as they come into sgforums to remember Singapore Citizen drug traffickers put to death eh.

I am sooooo impressed with the your err.....international taste. Laughing

viciouskitty74 SG

this is a forum, people come in and share their views and you can agree and disagree with what was being expounded.

The srcasm and hostility was not part of the package? Did you and I signed up differently?

So please.....stop making me laugh too much already.

Detached SG

With all due respect, for a person of 33 years.. you do lack tact..

Our new friend.. is an expression for hospitality..

Aw, why am I even trying? I shouldn't troubled myself with you

viciouskitty74 SG

So why you tried?

prove your stupidity isnt it?

viciouskitty74 SG

tact is for people that deserves it.

expression of hospitality? since coffeegal claims she is in LA. Which is frankly, so nearer to me.

I dont mind suggesting meeting coffeegal for coffee in LA to show my hospitality and hug him/her with open arms.

Let me know when it can happen. If not, your hospitality is hypocritical to my 33 year old tactless mind and body.

Cheers to folks who believes that hospitality must only be extended one way.

Just like a guest, has the right and manners to be critising a gahment.

Singapore sure isn't a perfect place... but at least we don't ahve a street with drugs. The law is set and this guy came in in full knowing of the consequence yet he does it. I understand that there is people who live in poverty and needed the money very much. But there are many other decisions available. Drug trafficking is just the easy way out and the highest return.

I guess we are deeply influenced by our chinese background. How the west once poisoned our race with opium.

Ohio immate took a long time to die

hey, check this out, fresh off the press ! ... maybe the US should phase out lethal injection and adopt Singapore's drop hanging method instead ..... trap door opens, neck snaps, finito ! ....

no unneccessary suffering at all .... even for people who richly deserved their fate ..... Confused

With all due respect, I believe his killing will never be put aside.

The killing was even more disturbing after I found this information about him:

"Shanmugum had served in the Singapore Armed Forces for 8 years and in other government sectors like the Singapore Sports Council for another 4 years. He had also represented Singapore in water sports events like the 1995 World Championship Jetski Finals in Lake Havasu, Arizona, USA.

Before his arrest, Shanmugram worked as a taxidriver and a free-lance window cleaner to support his sons and mother. He also contributed income to his sister and her 3 children. He did not have any previous convictions except for a minor traffic offence."

There are Americans and Australians, who wish they have similar penalties for drug pushers in their respective countries. They look at their sons and daughters, and at other parents who visit their sons and daughters at rehabilitation institutions and make the wish.

Anyway if the laws says that the penalty for smuggling in 5 or more pirated CDs is death, and everyone knows this harsh law. What do you think the idiot is doing when he carries with him 6 pirated CDs?

Courting death!

I just want to make a note , that alot of these policies that dictates our minds are because of politicians , some with thier own agenda. N thus bringing forward and imposing thier laws and regulations worldwide.

Both sides have thier reasons b beliefs, but maybe we should all look deeper as to WHY these laws were implemented , who and soon u will see the strings slowly connecting the littles pieces. With the internet nowadays , like i said , the information highway , by doing some research yourselves , you will see as to why. By knowing history will u truly know the cause and effect of the decisions made today.

U can,of course, fly to Amsterdam to smoke Marijuana there.the corrupt police here cant touch u.

LazerLordz SG

It doesn't mean we cannot raise it for discussion, does it?

club18 SG

ok..
so he served in the SAF.
so he served in other govt sectors..
so he represented singapore in water sport events..
does it justify the crime he commited?
serving the country does not give u the right to commit a crime and hope the country may forgive u or give u a lenient punishment. Rolling Eyes

LazerLordz SG

those are mitigating factors.

With the amount he brought into SG, I highly doubt he wanna use it himself. Most probably wanna sell it to other and make money outta it. It's always the same old story, once get caught, they will say they brougt it in for own consumption.

oh, btw, he shoulda brought it into the US of A and smoke em. Should be no problem for him though, if the impression I got here is valid. Twisted Evil

After reading thru 4 pages, I found it interesting to see a few people living overseas are still so active in sgforum. Dun know if they are or were Singaporean or not?
