MooKu SG hehe yeah agree with sunny this is not really so risky yet i feel like putting.. but i'm not very sure about the future prospects of the currencies. I tried to keep track of NZD's fluctuations but really lazy and never keep up with it. The interest rate is like ... 6 per cent. maybe... maybe i should... maybe i can put one month see see... but... if only i put earlier.. then now can earn from the appreciation..
sunny6110 SG yah... books preach that the worst place to put ur $$ is in the bank.. but after tinking and tinking and doing... bank is still the best place to place ur $$ if u are not sure where to park ur $$
sunny6110 SG yah... my mum oso... me v angry when me know my mum put FD wif UOB bank for NZ$... so unethical... they know it is not gg to work they still roll out such plan...
sunny6110 SG my thots are if u wan foreign FD... u must know foreign currencies... and MAS is gonna let SGD be gradually appreciating... so if u r sure which foreign currency will appreciate against the sgd... u can put lo... imo... stocks is the safest if u know how
alleggerita SG It's a long story..at first we ordered from a restaurant called "Food Storey"..it's food is okay okay only..but after 3 months we were really tired of the food..same dishes over and over again..so we stopped it for a while..and now we resumed ordering catering food again..this time from a different restaurant..my mum was attracted by the chinese words on the pamphlet saying "Gao1 Ji2 Wan3 Can1" (means high-class dinner)..so we ordered it.. AND GUESS WHAT?! IT LOOKS AND TASTES EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE PREVIOUS CATERING FOOD COMPANY! So our guess is the food comes from the same factory in Depot Road..the dishes are the same and it tastes the same..so the only explanation is it's from the same factory.. Which is super lame..different restaurants use their name to take order but outsource it to these kind of factory..
^tamago^ SG kiwi ah? ok, kiwi seems not bad at this moment. u can come in beo a bit http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthread.php?t=1584824
Kenashi SG S$ appreciated against NZ$ the interest rate at that time was 4.5%, the return was no better than putting in a S$ FD waste my time, luckily i took out in time, NZ$ fell even more after that it was 2+ years ago
alleggerita SG The best is use your money go buy gold..value will never drop..but of course no interest to collect..
MooKu SG hmmm. no.. stocks.. don't really know. besides, it's not my money i'm investing, although i've been given the power over it... don't really want to take that risk... yet. need to read more newspapers ._. study for 2 years already still feel like housewife-brain.
sunny6110 SG me know... this is wat the books preach mah... but if u dunno where to put... then u put here lose $$ u take out... then u put there win a bit of $$... in the end oso the same one... but u do lots of research, buying time... when u r damn sure then u put lo... the returns can be 100 or 1000 times de leh... $$ is limited resources... cannot anyhow put if u r not sure... oso cannot u read wad u do wad... must tink properly...
^tamago^ SG euro is going up. i'm waiting for the yen to bottom out but it seems nowhere in sight. if it appreciates significantly overnight due to a correction then.......... HUAT AH!
