Hi all,

I'm switching job soon, and i'm staying at east area but most probably my new job will be at Tuas. And best part is, they start work at 730am.

So, i'm planning to get a new car as the company subsidises a little for transport. After some discussion with my bro, i came up with 3 options:
1) picanto
2) Proton
3) Getz

Among the 3, i prefer Getz most in terms of appearances. But i'm noob and superficial, thus would like to ask if you guys have any comments on Getz? Fuel consumption wise and performances?

not worth getting the msian car. personally don't think too well of it. esp in their parts department.

getz, honestly? Fuel consumption not just not so good. To be honest the FC gave me quite a shock when I drove one, after having driven a Corolla with a bigger engine for a month before that.

Anyway, i realli know nuts about cars (other than driving) and my driving skills seriously sux too. I don't like nissan march appearance, so not considering it. I am using it purely for transportation purposes, and budget for monthly is $800-900 (including fuel & everything). Any suggestions or comments on Getz? TIA!

i'm not intending to do any mods, and performance wise, as long as car can move and FC is low, i'm fine with it. but cannot be too lousy lah (eg. picanto, you need to manually wind down the windows)

picanto only rear window need to wind down manually...front window are still power window.

wat i can suggest is tt this weekend, get someone to acc u to the various showrooms to test drive the cars of ur choices. nothing beats 1st hand experience...
