settings for roaming in perak

recently , my dad is using the n80ie in perak but he was unable to receive any network receptions despite restarting the phone numerous times.. my network settings is on dual mode. there is also the utms and gsm mode if im correct. im on singtel classic plan

any1 can advise how to set to receive the signal ..... Confused

Ask SingTel if he’s on AutoRoam or PPU Roam.

i think TS meant Perak, a state in malaysia.

should be Jaring or Telekom Malaysia.

if u dun have roaming enabled, it wun go thru.

if u noe GSM/UTMS SIM authentication, the overseas partner must send the Ki back to SingTel HLR for authentication and challenge code procedures. if the HLR server rejects because roaming is not enabled on that SIM account, the phone never gets logged on to the overseas partner's network.
