Trust me, Half-Life is one game you can buy and play it for a
long long long time. Why?? Cos of all those free and wonderful mods
out there, there are some award winning mods like Day of Defeat
(Strong WWII flavour with all the weaponry), Firearms (A team based
mod basically concentrating of the aspects of all the different
types of weapons, definitely more weapons than CS). And to take
note, a new CS game called CounterStrike: Condition Zero is coming
this June. It uses a new half-life engine and it is so-called able
to prevent cheaters (which is very important for me who plays
on-line), it also includes some new weapons, like M60 (rambo type
machine gun), FAMAS (some france sub-machine gun, quite accurate
and powerful), some Israel sub-machine gun, and a Ballistic shield
that you use in place of your primary weapon, so lots of tactics
can be put in place (like charging with the ballistic shield to
take the damage). It also includes a single player based mission
which you are required to plan your moves and take out the
terrorist with lots of new models. I guess I talk too much
already.
