Kuali Baba SG It's the most irritating thing in the world after mosquitoes. Why? 1) That weird cutesy voice. 2) Parents who use it probably think their kids are too stupid to understand complete sentences, so they speak in broken (insert language) instead. 3) The excessive use of onomatopoeia, like 'mum-mum' (eat) or 'shee-shee' (urinate), instead of proper words. Comment away.
Cool-gal SG must blend in abit ma. how can be so firm with a baby when u can be gentle n sweet to them? baby suppose to be cute oso ma..
MooKu SG I use it on my woof woof. edit: well ok.. not all the time. just sometimes. like... "come mum mum...!" but when she doesn't eat, i'll just go "EAT!" =X
laurence82 SG i dont mind i only mind a few things fingernails scratching the blackboard muahahahahaha
FireIce SG bcos of babies' attention span and memory, you have to repeat to make them rber ...... and they recognise by sight and sound, so eating is mum-mum, pee-ing is shee-shee this is how they learn the words/names and relate to their actions these do not have to be proper terms or names bcos to the baby, it has no meaning this is normal and an absolute part of babies' education and communication when they grow up and attend sch, they will be corrected and learn the right terms....
FireIce SG 3 still acceptable 5 is old baby liao, since the kid shd be in nursery or kindergarten oredi..... but depends on the family oso whether they take the effort to guide the kids to using proper language when they are older or not....... esp those kids tt are taken care of by grandparents of older relatives......
Cool-gal SG Granted, but when the kid is three years old? Or five years old?the one above far beyond age 5 stil do tat, wad u think? actually age 5 stil ok ma, u noe it has become a habit. i stil use tat on my little bro, he is 5. sorry, we are used to it. he is too cute to use adult language.
Darkness_hacker99 SG Next time I'll ask my baby(if I have one) to recite chapter on Organic Chemistry to me.
