Since there are a lot of singles out in this forum. Just a few questions ponder me to ask

1) Is local gals very hard to please?? My view: YES. Can used worng word to "offend" them lah, must please them lah, --> ask all these gals out there to serve NS then they will grow up!!! (sorry, to all gals out there)

2) What causes low marriage & high single rate? My view: received equal education resulting in nowsaday gals are no longer submissive ----> resulting in failure in marriage but they do not admit it?

3) How many guys out there are thinking of getting a foreign gals?

NS doesnt = To Maturity... Think there r many guys who have gone thru NS whom are still immature...

Okie tats beside the point, women nowadays can support themselve so its isnt like the past, gona "depend" on men... Its a very general and bias statement that you have made, of cos women won't admit it... Women can be submissive but not stupidly submit...

It seems like nowsaday, whenever there are some problems arises in a family, "Divorce" seems to be the order of a couple's relationship as all these types of marriage just can't withstand any test.

Doesn't those who ROM at Fort Canning are the "Jin Tong Yu Nu"/Ideal Couples in the eyes of their relatives, friends etc.. & when it comes to divorce, "characters not compatible" also seems to be the ideal excuses.

I would put the blame on our society which causes the citizens to be too realistic in almost everything... not an ideal place for retirements by the way.

Here is a personal view:

Yup, I agree that on the general, local girls are harder to please due to the fact that their expectations and demands are higher, and constantly increasing. However, there are nice girls around, who will stick with you and believe that being in a relationship (be it BGR or marriage), it is about two human beings being together and thus should work towards a better future, believes and hopes the two of them shares together.

Girls keep complaining that guys change after marriage and tend to be less sensitive towards them. Well, give it a thought. Girls change after marriage too. They become so dependent and more unwilling to put in effort to work things out, to care for her guy and manage the marriage together. They tend to find the easy way out, divorce or look else where to satisfy their expectations, their demands thus the sharp increase in girls having affairs nowadays ( increase in number of married girls having affairs is a fact, go check out the statistics).

Why do girls have to be submissive in the first place?? Equally humans rite? hehe However I would say education and living standards play a part in this place we call home.

Which girl doesn't want a man who is able to provide for her? Well I would say only some black sheeps of the ladies community that makes u guys feel that girls are hard to please.

Some men are hard to please as well.. but do u see gurls complaining?? Maybe there are.. but not tat much.. Most gurls are tolerant of their bfs or hubbies.

High divorce rates or high single ratings doesnt mean girls have more education hence so..

I guess no one can really point out the actual cause of tat... I dun deny that ladies by having higher educational levels will contribute alittle but not totally. But its more of society influences and economic factors that help in shaping that view.

And Though NS can help boy grow into a man... but it doesnt equals to maturity....

Yes, we are increasingly hard to please in certain areas. But that doesn't mean they don't try just as hard to be good partners.

Yes, gals no longer submissive to men because they are less dependent. So there are fewer marriages because guys and gals can't find the right partners. Guys looking for submissive wives will have a smaller & shrinking pool to choose from. On the other hand, girls are competing for a limited pool of guys who are able to meet their demands.

If a guy can't find a suitable woman here, then by all means go look for a foreign bride. Personally I hate a guy to whine but do nothing.

One of my friends whom I knew thru reservists did quote a rather sarcastic yet worth thinking twice remarks:

Since gals expect a guy to have this have that, possess this possess that, in return what does the gal have-- does she had the figures, looks etc to please me!!!!

In short, it seems that beautiful gals want guys to be capable etc etc etc but those plain Jane are also asking for a share as well (sorry gals, I am just stating what my friend means by his opinion) By the way, he is also a graduate.

I just feel that sometime some gals are asking for the moon when they themselves are just average gals which U can find it along the streets.

I agree with someone's comments: it boils down on both parties to put in efforts in managing a relationships rather than find faults in one another & seeking divorce as an easy way out to "escape" from problems

By the way, I am a local guys & I have seen, knew, experience all types of relationships either thru personal experience or see it thru my ex-classmates, colleagues. Thanks

My Replies: -

1) Yes for some, No for some, Yes & No for some, and Don't Know for some.

2) Low Marriage: Too heavy burdens from work place. Too many responsibilities. Too busy on carreers and pets. Too childish to take up commitments in relationships. Maybe some guys forgot to propose... and some girls forgot/refuse to ask...

High Single rates: Ignorance and SIMPLY playing hard to get.

3) Foreign gals: For me, I'm fine with that. If a girl is nice, caring, understanding, patient, and mature enough... the thing is... WHY NOT?? Wink
