in SG high beam is not for warning anymore. pple in SG are just to blind to see the light. u can beam all the way but the person just wont move.

other way round there are pple behind driving with high beam but he also cannot tell the different if it high beam or normal.

i ever chase after one car who tail me from one end of Outram enterance till yio chu kang. that a freaking 20km high beam behind me till i jam my brakes he avoid and overtake then my turn to high him. i tail him till i stop and screw him up. his friend still can say where got high beam. i ask him take out license then talk he dont have.

bugger give excuss i just pass first time driving at night donno how to see high or low. but never put P-Plate. kayu driver in SG is plentiful.

Sometimes, under "normal" beam the lamp is set to high. So the driver does not know that they are irritating you. When you go for annual veh check, there is a section that checks the height of "normal" beam. Even if your beam is set too high and that section "fails" you still pass overall.

To go chasing people for more than 20km for a misunderstanding is siao and dangerous.

What I did was slow down and adjust my mirror so that the driver behind can see what I am irritated about, because people do not slow down (not jam brakes, please) for no reason.

The driver behind then high beam, low beam, high beam low beam and I see that he got the message and is wondering why his beam is so high.

BUt you can never adjust your beam so high that you think it is high beam.

The adjusting feature of headlights are like only 3 degrees up/down.

If their cars are higher than yours and the "normal" is set high, then it becomes high beam to you. Their high beam will go over your head. Whatever it is don't simply assume that people are purposely out to irritate you for the fun of it.

There is a problem, I agree but why don't all the drivers start a protest until you know who take some action to stop the problem?

it's not the warning type.

it's the type they switch on permanently and they would be completely impervious to the fact they are blinding ppl

conti cars come with headlight self adjustments eg ford cars. w/o high beam, the headlights will look as though its on high beam just by adjusting them upwards.

whether its 3 degrees, i'm not too sure.

yes, i agree to that. just flash high beam few times to a fellow road driver of his high beam status on from the opposite side but he got irritated n stared back at me...this is what u get for being helpful. anyway, he's driving a wkend car with a P-plate...nissan sunny. Rolling Eyes

i think he should look at the dashboard for the high beam indicator on/off status.

talking about high beam, I was damn pissed with this black toyota collora along AYE the other night. He was hogging on 1st lane, I try to signal to him by flashing my high beam. he ignore....then I flash again...he ignore....and i give him to and then flash again...he fcuking ignore again. now my blood boils, started flashing intermittently, then he start to play with his brake. KNN!

when the 2nd lane was clear, i over took him from the right, and go next to him to see his Fcuk face, YES, he indeed has to F face, plum fellow, middle age man. And as expect, when I overtook him, he start to flash his high beam at me. and guess what, i raise my middle finger at him and disappear infront of him.

actually if u really want, reinforce ur bumper and then when u encounter a hogger...either bang him hard that make the car lose control and maybe crash to other cars or a bump say at 20km/h faster tat will scare the hogger.. Laughing
