1stly, an infrastructure to support the useage of such cars,
which may run on hydrogen power, fuel cells, electric motors
etc.
2ndly, legislations should be altered to promote the use of such
cars, perhaps with import tax subsidaries on their usage, and
waiver of, or subsidising of ERP gantry fees.
Finally, besides hybrids, govt can also look at promoting the use
of diesel models of family saloons, which have a much lower fuel
consumption and are more economical to run, thru reviewing the
legislation on the import of diesel cars.
