I'm a recent uni grad and u noe u noe.. still not veri financially stable..
planning to get any 4 seater car whether 1st or 2nd hand..

You already say your not financially stable. So why are you not smart enough to figure out that by owning a new car in singapore you are more likely to get yourself into alot of debts.
IMHO, you want to start out by owning a car i suggest you forget taking a walk along Leng Kee or Ubi becos you'll end up paying your loans over 10 years. Start out by getting those Toyota Starlets 91 -93 models. They are cheap, easy to maintain and FC is very good at 13km/l if i'm not wrong. But get a mechanic to check out the cars before you get one just to make sure they're still in reasonable condition.
Bottomline, try the 2nd hand car market or the COE cars.

Cheapest new car now is either Perodua Kelisa or Kia Picanto. Prices around S$35k.

If i were to get a cheap car, my choice now is clearly Rio 1.4M sedan. About 40K. The drive feels ok although a bit light. And i like its new look. Reliability shd have improved for Kia as it now uses the same engine as Hyundai Verna

Picanto is a no no for me. Engine too small and drive extremely draggy and powerless.

Not tested Kelissa. But i cant accept its look

Ya, I also think the FL Rio sedan looks good. If budget allows, should be considering it. For hatchback, maybe a Chervolet Aveo.

Also agreed Picanto is a NO NO, that is why I got Kelisa. As for looks, very subjective. Mr. Green But never the least these are the cheapest new cars in town.
