YOUth Vibes
2007 - GENESIS
a 5-year project beginning with Genesis, the theme for this
year.
Genesis will set the stage for the subsequent years by first
introducing the ideas of open discussions, and establishing a
network of contacts for the participants.
The model of discussion this year combines both World Café and Open
Space Technology. The YOUth Vibes 2007 will take the form of a 1
day open space conference involving 150-200 youths from various
Universities, Polytechnics, Junior Colleges and ITEs.
This project will provide an opportunity for the youths to churn
out thoughts and ideas through collective intelligence. The youths
are given the chance to initiate topics to be discussed on the day
itself. There are few categories for the discussion topics, which
are tentatively :
>> Environment
>> Education
>> Social Issues
>> Volunteerism
>> Life as a Youth
>> Anything and Whatever ( i.e. Other
Topics)
Also, there will be another segmen t "A Rendezvous" where you'll
get to meet Nicky Teo, the 19-year-old Funeral Director! He's
highly inspiring and he's got interesting stories to share!
Why hesitate? Come - make a difference with us!
