Personally, I feel that four weeks in jail is a pretty light
sentence for a hit-and-run case brought about by the influence of
alcohol. Four months would be a better deterrent.
To be frank, I think he's pushing it by trying to appeal for a
lighter sentence... if anything, the judge may end up thinking that
the original sentence is way too light and slap him with a heavier
sentence.
I seriously don't give a #^$%&^# if you're a celebrity/ordinary
person/elite or whatever... if you drink, then you don't
drive.
If you drive under the influence of alcohol, you're screwed if you
get caught.
If you knock someone down as well, you're screwed even more.
If you run away from the accident, then you're really, really
screwed.
