IMHO the Lexus h series, if you really really wanted to save fuel/the earth, you'd get a prius or a civic hybrid, and not buy a Lexus with a 3.5L V6 or a 5L V8 and then suddenly decide you wanted to care about the environment, and tack on an electric motor.

The Audi S4 however, looks fantastic.

The Audi S4 however, looks fantastic.

You are looking at it the wrong way. What if a rich guy wants to do his part for the environment, but still own a big and comfortable limousine and still be able to show off his ride? You can't possibly ask him to get a Civic Hybrid or a Toyota Prius.

The Lexus LS600hL (for example) is the way to go for him. He can do his part for the environment and at the same time own a big limousine. And compared to many of the limousines out there, his LS600hL might just be the most fuel efficient.

Ok, when you look at it this way, I guess it does make more sense for a rich guy who does not want to forgo his luxury to invest in a hybrid lexus. I guess it's the lesser of two evils, better this than say, a 750i or a S500L.

Seen a couple of Lexus LS600hL on the roads before.... Damn big!

But I was thinking, if WHO are giving us the signal to conserve the envionrment, then why hybrid technology are currently offered on luxury cars, with the Prius and Civic Hybrid? All are so expensive..... If they want us to buy hybrid cars...first make them affordable then perhaps we can consider.... I suggest they put those hybrid technology more on mass-market models like Latio, Lancer, Altis or even Chery QQ. I believe their prices won't be so expensive and more people can afford.
