hmmm…..singapore licence can drive malaysia car in malaysia. but cannot bring into singapore the malaysian registered vehicle.

You are allowed to rent a car from those permitted agents and drove them in Malaysia. However, you are not allowed to drive those normal malaysian cars(from relatives or friends). If being caught you will be charged for not having the proper license.

There are many versions i heard:

1. U only can drive within Johor area.
2. U can drive anywhere because SG license is consider international license.

I got 1 colleague with SG license drive MY registerd car in Johor, 1 time when TP block and ask for license and he show his SG license. There are no problem at all...

Don't think you get charged. I always drive my cousin's car when I'm in KL.

Initially, I was worried too but my cousin told me the most MY TP will issue you a warning since we're "tourist". If not, just pay "kopi money" lor.

Thanks for the info but I believe most people are aware of that.

Some countries like Aust requires an international driving licence if you going to be there for more than a month. Generally a normal SG driving licence will do if you're a tourist there for a short period.
