wad abt the teachers?

despondent SG

well, it has always been the tradition tat students from kindergarten rite up to junior college r required to wear school uniforms…yrs ago i remember tis topic was raised but apparently it has since died off. shld teachers in school lead by example by wearing uniforms as well? after all, they r suppose to be the educators n role model for students…so wad r ur comments? shld uniform be mandatory for teachers?

Bontakun SG

No need uniform lah. Just proper dress code can liao. They need to look professional, not look like clone zombies from some graveyard factiroes.

hisoka SG

give me the rationale first for uniform other than for the school to go on power trips first. then we can discuss theres a need for the teachers

CoolMyth SG

Teachers are white-collared professionals, not blue-collared leh.

Do white-collared working people wear uniforms? Laughing

kopiosatu SG

teachers just follow a dress code.

stop stirring them.

despondent SG

ok…then lets discuss wad is considered proper wear for teachers…i myself have seen teachers dressing too casual to sch…wad then is proper?

kopiosatu SG

go ask your school for the standing orders.

if you don't like the way they dress then check with your school principal.

then see if he/she will implement any changes.

kopiosatu SG

and why the f*ck are u repeating a topic u used in 2006?

http://www.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=214378

nothing else better to do?

despondent SG

in case u dunno…tat topic has expired n it was posted in a different forum…if u r nt here to give contructive discussion but to wreak havoc to tis thread then u r nt welcome…thank u

Darkness_hacker99 SG

No. I don't think school teacher should wear Uniform to school.

kopiosatu SG

you're not welcomed here either.

so the feeling is mutual.

your suggestions stated above are already absurd to a certain level.

u can go discuss this with your other disgruntled students / parents who specialise in pampering their children.

if u want the cold hard truth, just follow the rules.

not happy? go talk to your principal.

talking about it here will not change anything. unless u give your principal the link to this topic and he/she can engage in a discussion that you are looking for.

TerenceYYK SG

there are other ways to be a role model to students but not implementing uniforms to them as i think it would be kinda funny to them. mostly, uniforms are those private companies who like to potray a better self image for their businesses, but to schools are not in business.

my 2 cents

sermodabian SG

Army issit? All wear uniform. Might as well go naked.

kopiosatu SG

like that parents should wear uniform too.

most of them nowadays totally cannot make it as parents.

maybe this will help make them better role models to their whiny children.

despondent SG

thanx for commenting...so then judging by wad u said...shldnt uniform be totally abolished for students as well?

kopiosatu SG

yes, i support nudity Rolling Eyes

despondent SG

one more thing, kopiosata…i am nt a student in uniform anymore…so whether tis topic gets anywhere wun affect me…i am juz engaging it as a friendly discussion…personally i have no qualms abt students wearing uniform…in fact i love uniform…its juz tat i noe newspapers have discussed tis b4 in the past so juz wanted to see wad forumers have to say…tats all…

viciouskitty74 SG

errr......please.....now I cannot get the image of 50 year old 100 kg English Teacher Mr Liow teaching in the nude, out of my mind. Crying or Very sad

kopiosatu SG

so let it be in the papers. things MIGHT get done there.

you want serious discussions, head to speaker's corner. because this whole idea is already silly to our robotic mentality.

we've got better things to worry about like retirement funds, CPF money and the stupid MIW.

uniform discussions are meant for the disgruntled kids. you might generate a better response at the Teen Planet forum

the above reply is not said at a sarcastic note. i am serious.

kopiosatu SG

i think most teachers would look horrible in the nude when i was in school
