is it possible to survive uni life by being independent?

by possible i don't exactly mean that literally,cause the ans wld most probably be yes. What im asking is,will it be very tough? and any tips to survive independently?

if u r mature...u will realise that studies is just a small part of ur uni life.

get to know pple and networking is really important. most pple..more than 70pc get their jobs thru referral from frens.

in fact those with few friends can be more dependent on them
than some people with a lot of friends

and having friends doesnt mean u need their company all the time ba.

u need to be independent, but sociable at the same time...i know it sounds contradicting but its true. Independent in the sense u can push urself to study, do ur projects, etc....its no longer like Sec sch or JC, teachers wun be reminding you to submit ur work or study for ur quiz. thats when you need to be independent and take charge of your own commitments.

from my experience, the only person u can really depend on in uni is urself. Even good friends do let you down sometimes when it comes to project management, etc etc.. However, friends make uni life so wonderful, there are a neccesity.

what i meant was that sometimes u enter a course,but all your old friends enter other courses,leaving you sort of friendless.

and the people in the new course may already have cliques,so tt leaves u harder to make friends. so..ya that was what i meant

very possible and not hard. in fact , not having those clinques andall that extra activities will let you have more time to study and do well. the only thing is you might not get those past year reports to copy

Life is like a train - you lose friends on the way and you make new ones. Life is everchanging.

I made it through university without having my old friends present. We keep in contact and I migrated to a new base. Sometimes they hop back into my train of life and I say hello again. Friends never forget friends.

It is about adapting to changes, getting out of your comfort zone and making the best of life you have in the university or workplace. If you keep following the past ,you will live in the past. If you look forward to the future and adapt to the present , you will go far.

I am sure some of your classmates will be in a similiar situation as u...hence it will still be possible to make friends...probably just harder. But if you look friendly and be more proactive...should be no problem.
