Im just helping to explain, so people will know. To correct
something that is wrong.
Malay here refers to an ethnicity.
Cannot call other people who are not Malays as Malays.
For instance, here in Singapore there are ethnic Tamils.
We cannot say.....in India there are Tamils wearing the Turban.
That is wrong, because in India, there are many different ethnic
groups, and Tamils in India dont wear the Turban, it is actually
the Sikh ethnic group, a completely different ethnic group in
India. Tamil is an ethnic group, and Sikh is an ethnic group. They
are both in India.
Same with this term 'Malay'. Many people are abit confused and just
use this term wrongly. This term only refers to the Malay ethnic
group. You cannot call other Indonesians who are ethnic Balinese,
or Batak, or Minang, etc, as Malays.
