I give tuition for 'A' level (H2) Chem and 'A' level (H2)
Biology.
I can say this - for Chem H2 syllabus is almost the same as 'A'
level. (certain previously 'A' level optional topics eg. Gibbs free
energy, is now part of the Core, there are no optional topics in
H2)
But for Biology, H2 syllabus is totally different from 'A' level
syllabus. 50% of the content is totally new (ie. brought down from
University level, stuff you only learnt in the University
previously). Specifically, the Molecular Biology and BioTechnology
aspects.
I personally much prefer the new H2 syllabuses. Much more
interesting. (H2 level's Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphisms
vs 'A' level's Sex Life of Plants).
