allblacks SG Hi,need help on this. When i start to move off everytime, frm the first to second gear,it will jerk very hard.Is it a sign of problem or wat? Btw,i am driving a Honda Civic yr 2004. Cheers,
mzrmazda3 SG Heavy jerking in auto transmission is not healthy How much is your mileage now? Maybe, you would like to check the condition of your atf first to see if it is still in good condition. Otherwise bring it back to KM and ask them to check it
alwaysdisturbed SG i drove the civic b4 n i dun experience any jerks while changin gears... but nw when i drive the lancer i do hv slight jerks...when shiftin frm neutral to drive..n vice versa...
allblacks SG my mileage ard 16,000.don travel much...will try out changing atf..but wat if aft changin still face tis problem, den wat shld i do?.. cheers,
Ah Wei SG I used to have the same problem with my auto 2001 Civic. I changed the atf and it solve the problem...... but 16,000km seems a little. Nevertheless, try it out. After this incident, i changed the ATF after every 20,000km. Hope this helps.
Tayysj SG i onli have jerks from neutral - drive/1 and drive/1 to neutral.. from gears one onwards no probs when auto.. (mitsubishi spacewagon)
storm_freaky13 SG usually thats the clutch engaging and disengaging. They got a tendency to 'throw clutch' sometimes thats what i noticed
tailslide SG auto trannies use torque converters to effect the transmission of power. not clutches lah.
Forhod SG It could be the band for the second gear clearance is out of specs.. Check with the mechanics? Maybe he refering to the high Clutch, low clutch etc..
tailslide SG power is always transmitted from the engine to the torque convertors via viscous coupling. nothing to do with changing gears which is controlled by other parameters.
AE86tofu SG some vehs are liddat one wad....my truck's auto tranny is 4ever jerky one...can sometimes throw the passengers off their seats.....until it warms up
