Place to learn Jap?

jianfish9 SG

Since I am very free for a couple of months now, I have decided to go learn Japanese to facilitate my watching of Anime.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I want to learn too! Teach me!

Lets see... I watch anime too and I learnt some basic words from there. For example:

Good Morning - Ohayou (gozaimasu) *words in brackets are more formal*
Good Afternoon or hello - Konnichi wa
Good evening - Kon Ban Wa
Good night - Oyasumi (nasai)

Hello (on phone) - Moshi Moshi
So comfortable!/Feel - Kimochii!
So happy! - Ureshii!
So fortunate! - Shiawase!

I like you! - Watashi wa anata ga suki.
I Really really ... really like you! - Dai Suki!
I love you - Aishiteru
I dislike you - Watashi wa anata ga kirai
I really really ... really dislike you! - Dai Kirai!

Magic - Mahou, Ma RioKu
Kagi - Key
Tama - Jewel
Kibou - Hope
Yami - Dark
Hikari - Light
Haru- Spring
Natsu- Summer
aki - autumn (isit???)

Tamago: Thanks. You have been most helpful. Guess its more or less for watching anime. Yes, I know I am shallow. Would be helpful if I could converse in Japanese or at least make people understand me. No need a JLPT to understand or speak Jap rite? Very Happy

I tried Google but all it gives is a list of places to learn. Doesn't say how good or bad or isit recommended.

Tamago: Bunka looks pretty good. However, the schedule is a little off. I am looking for a course starting latest by 1st July but they don't seem to have any. Any other recommendations?

Viciouskitty: wow, jcss is something like a 11months course. Gosh. Does it cost a bomb? Anyway, the earliest I can apply would be this Dec since the course runs from Jan to Nov. Perhaps if I like Jap enough I'll go sign on this course.

Anyone has learnt jap at any language school and would like to recommend?

Thanks in advance.
