FC very much depends on your right foot and the route taken
(expressway/city driving).
It's not very fair to compare FC between sunny (1.6L), vios (1.5L)
and city (1.5L). Definitely 1.5L cars offer better FC than a 1.6L
car. But then, space, comfort and price of the 1.5L car may have to
be compromised.
You can't travel fast in S'pore even on an expressway. So why
bother about which car can travel faster?
If you're referring to "taking off", then may be there's still
something to debate about.
I was very concerned about FC initially but then after weighing the
pros and cons, I ended up buying a not so FC friendly car but it's
spacious, comfortable, within my budget and meet my needs.
If you travel alot a day, then you should seriously consider a car
that can offer you better FC. Else, why pay upfront more car loan
with bank interest on the car that supposed to give you good FC as
these cars don't come cheap?
Anyway, though petrol price is hefty nowadays but then you don't
have to pay any bank interest for it as it's not part of the car
loan and end of the day, it's you that control the usage of your
car.
