Are they blacks or whites?

I'm currently reading a fictional Clive Cussler book. In it, they mention about people who are the "ANGLO CANCER OF THE AFRICAN CONTINENT". I couldn't make clear of that so I was wondering whether they are referring to blacks or whites. I need to get this clear cuz as the story develops, this will help me to understand the plot more easily. Anyway, I'm getting a little confounded right now by this.

It probably refers to the colonization of the blacks by the whites, on the land of the blacks.

I think they could have been dark skin people but not of African descent. More like the Polynesians or Haitians.

By the way are you sure that was what written in the book? Could you have misread it? Can you read that again? It could be Anglo-Saxon of the African Continent? Which book of his are you reading? I do read his books the older ones and Dirk Pitt series. If it's Kurt Austin then I would give it a miss.

anglos - white people of non-hispanic descent. cancer - referring to these white people as an evil, destructive force. Read up a little more about Africa's history and the book will suddenly become clearer to you Smile
