The new model is extremely cool-looking. The only part I don't
like is the front intake grill. Looks like a last-minute job and
they didn't know what to do so they just dumped a plain grill on
it.
The interior looks great, they have followed Honda's 3 button look.
Almost all car manufacturers have really gone up a notch in terms
of interior styling (look at the Mazda 3, Honda Accord Euro) and
Toyota has finally caught on, albeit a little late.
I just purchased a Nissan Maxima (branded as Cefiro in Singapore)
and I chose it over the Camry because although the latter was
stable and performed alright on the road, it didn't excite me and I
felt it was too conservative (hence some people calling it the "Ah
Pek" car). The Maxima was more comfortable, better interior and ran
like a rocket thanks to its 3.6L V6 VQ engine.
It's still a good car though, and with the new model I'd expect
Toyota to give the other models even greater run for their
money.
