Hi Everyone, juz wanna check wif u guys. i driving vios n would like to change my tail lamp to euro sports one. but my fren told me its illegal. he says we change anything which is not original is illegal. True anot??? pls enlighten me! thanks!

I think for tail lamps. So long it is in its legal colour it is OK.

if you are changing a RED tail lamp to a bluish one, that's obviously illegal and dangerous.

saw many jazz/fit changing to sports tail-light as well. so they r also not allowed n might get fine as well? yeah….it looks nice! change liao later kena caught also wasted…..if really not allowed, i also dun understand y izzit not allow leh…

got saw this WISH. the head lights were like some corolla. those eyelid type 1. but the case is that it had eyelids on both top and bottom, i dunno how the lights were to beam at night. Then the taillights. it oso got material covering it, leaving only a strip…. U tell me lah. WISH so big, and ive been seeing it pass my hse almost everyday

let me put all this into perspective for you all.

LTA will hardly approve anything. in other words, u can do wad u want till they start to say cannot. For eg: the foglights issue which till now i feel is damn bloody stupid.

You need to send to Vicom for inspection though......... and will cost u some money.

well lta gave that statement but did not define it.. i think its defined in terms of how many metres/kilometres of visibility.. check wif LTA? now they have some new talk2lta website for u to ask any kind of qns u wan n almost 100% will get reply.. so far i havent got any questions to them unanswered.. =)

Maybe LTA should starts a Forum too.

Just to be safe, call LTA up directly. They might need you to go for an inspection after you've fixed it up to make sure that's it's legal.
