Hey guys, i'm doing a school project, wanna know, you guys out here top up ur petrol when tank is

a) 1/4 tank left?
b) when the red light lights up?

all ur help will be much appreciated.

Usually 1/4 will go pump lor or if pass by free free,sometimes half tank also pump!! Geez!!

after the red light comes up, I drive until the needle goes below the lowest marker and hit rock bottom before I top up. I don’t waste petrol and like to squeeze every last drop out of a tank.

1/4 tank for me..cuz i'm quite poor wif directions.. Embarassed just in case i got lost on the road hence must haf enough petrol. Laughing

depends on what car you drive because the petrol meter reading is different

i will top up when red lights up. Because for my car, when the red light up, there are still 10litres of petrol in it. Still can tahan for about another 100km

If for other cars, when red lights up, there are left 2-3litres in it. So they must top up petrol at 1/4tank

i tot tat was esso & mobil because we're drivers too advertisement?

anyway i don't pump until it reaches below 1/4. but below 1/4 liao i also wun purposely go petrol station will wait until i just nice pass by one. however, if it lights up already then will hafta go to a petrol station juz to pump. but then hmm when it lights up i actually still haf 20 litres left =/

btw what will u do if you car dies say.. in the middle of the expressway due to run out of petrol? call for tow? run to nearest petrol station n buy petrol in jerry can and bring back? or wad?

sg petrol stations allow sell in jerry can if car cant make it to the station btw but dun allow sell for u to keep.

for me, i top up when red light comes up, tt left me with 10L to play with.

and yes, i did go in to JB with slightly less than 3/4 tank before. if custom ask u, u tell them to look at the signboard juz before custom. those who go in regularly, will noe wat i talking abt

Actually if I'm driving the van I'll pump when it hits 1/4, but for the car as soon as the low light is lit it's "Off to the petrol cave!"

best to pump full always as when the petrol tank goes down or low with fuel ( u know fuel very easily being changed to vapour which will then become gaseous state which will cause your tank to go lower when park under the sun ) so its best to pump full always..

i only pump when the needle hits rock bottom. Such that when i turn on my engine the fuel needle doesnt move at all.
