Does the Nissan Skyline have a luxury version?

This has been bugging me for awhile...I was in Sentosa and I saw a silver coupe turning and at the back there was a huge "S K Y L I N E" beneath the nissan symbol. The back lights aren't the signature Skyline 4 round ones tho...Asked a few friends and they told me different things that confused me. I can't find many pictures of it either on the internet.
It looks sort of like...I dunno...a little like the 350z? I dunno how to really describe it...anyone?

I test driven this car when I was in Canada.

It is Infiniti G35. I tell you, it is the cheapest luxury car which handle VERY well.!!!

it's selling for S$60000 back in 2002. Internal features are very posh and comes with dashboard screen and if you add more $$ can get GPS.

It has lots of techonology incorporated in it. Like if you jam brake, you won't feel you want to fly forward. And the faster you drive, the lower the car and hence more stable.

In Singapore it was parallel imported as Nissan Skyline and i think it was back in 2001-2002.

I dunno how true it is, but I heard after the initial imports this model turn out that they did not pass emission requirements and hence subsequent ones are not allowed into Singapore.

Otherwise i think this is one beautiful car. I think the closest match you can get here is 350Z but honestly i think 350Z is still a far cry.

actually what u saw was the G35, the nxt in line after R34. R34 stop production in 2002, 2001 was the yr when G35 was produce in japan. still called skyline, the ones produce in US is under the infiniti badge and left hand drive. (like acura is honda's US production name).

the G35 is not as popular as the R34 becaz of design,n the fact that its all NA models. thats why u don't see much on the roads here. recently garage R bringing in so maybe u can see a few on the road. personally i can't wait for the next skyline to come back wif the signature four round taillights,till then its the R34 for me. Wink

Hmm. just to clarify.

it is S$60k IF you buy it in Canada. S$60k there can get you a BMW 320 series or Merc C 200.

In singapore in 2001 prices, that model was selling for $140k if i am not wrong.

It is only parallel imported. I know there are some.

It is just like the Toyota Tercel, a japanese made Vios-level car. It could have been sold in singapore from 10 plus years ago, but it can't meet emission requirements.

tink the G35 can see around 4 to 5 in spore. i remembered one 2.5l 2001 model, the 2005 models are all 3.5l,mostly brought in by garage r for expats here.
