Have you noticed that more things around us are MIC?

Eg. Phones, TV, clothes, camera, monitors, refrigerators, DVD players etc.

Some of them have the MIC tag on it, wherereas some are "made in Italy", "made in Japan", "made in USA" but somehow I still feel that they are MIC. (Esp low end items )

When they say Made in US. It's mean the tag that is made in US. They shirt etc are made in china de. Laughing

for normal consumer goods, chin chai lah ....

for important articles like cars etc .... no thank you ...

anything that goes into your stomach .... toothpaste, medicine, or your pet's petfood etc ... I'd try to avoid ....

remember slim 10 ? ... panama's toothpaste ? ... north america's pet food ? ... the third world's bad anti-biotics ? ....

thinking of it I get scared thinking about all the assorted po chai pills and other stuff ... Confused

There are certain things you don't buy from China, but usually these lean more towards industrial equipment such as machine centers, coordinate measuring machines etc for engineering work. China-made models may have reversed-engineered their european and japanese counterparts to some extent, but they have not yet reproduced the quality and reliability of their more illustrious competitors.

When it comes to handphones, headsets, harddrives etc, most of them are made in China. I still prefer Taiwan-made for motherboards but the china market is increasingly competitive. I won't be surprised that Taiwan, Malaysia and other mainstays succumb to the dragon in another 10 years time.

For now, it's really what product you're buying and whether paying that extra dollar for quality is really worth it, especially with the rapid advancement of new technology in the electronic market.

Many people always say that China products are cheapo...

The truth is, when there is demand, then there is supply.

China factories produces cheap products BECAUSE there are buyers from all over the world who want to buy the cheap products.

We always laugh at them, but actually they are laughing at us.

When we go visit China for holiday, what do we always look for? We always go to China to buy the cheap imitations.

But when China tourists go to other countries, what do they buy? They grab all the branded goods.

So who's the real cheapo?

p/s: Many top quality brands are also manufactured in China. The same factories can produce both good quality and bad quality items. It all depends on what is the customers request. When you want to pay cheapo price, you get cheapo stuff. Don't blame the manufacturer.

all depends on QC i guess.. most electronic goods are now manufactured in China, but i would hesistate to buy one unless i know its a recognized brand name..samsung..sony..toshiba..etc.. not some BIBI or MYMY..brand Rolling Eyes

Just appreciate all the cheap stuffs you get for now, by the time China shift her economy to a more service based, hi tech manufacturing, your stuff won’t be cheap anymore. And China is already doing it by introducing new banking laws, manufacturing cars, start their own 3G standard phone project with state fund. So Nothing lasts forever.
