Now that people are used to sub 10k COE, I think it's hard to move higher unless COE quota shrinks significantly later. I won't be surprised if it moves lower to 5-6k but that's about the lowest I believe it can go... Razz

Siaoz liao... like that more jams...harder to find parking lot in hot zones... hrmm.. stick to MRT better... no jam halfway through unless breakdown.

Now pple buy car... later after election, says parking fee increase...oil tax increase...erp rates double... additional 20 gantry point...road tax increase 50%... lolz.. in the end.. gah ment still win.

Then add in 1 more rule say fuel guage no reach 95% no enter to JB for SG car.. lolz... its a win win situation for them.

Petrol prices will continue to rise tremendously if the simi UN will to impose the dunno simi nuclear restriction rules on Iraq(Or which country, not too sure)...

DId i mention few months ago COE will continue to drop?? its so apparent that the govt is controlling the rise of COE now

so you guys might ask how low will it drop...My ans will be...REAL REAL REAL low... $8 k COE is not low at all

I agree with sunnyMAN. Next round will see a rise, perhaps back to $10K, due to two reasons :

1. Three week break.
2. Fools rushing in.

After that, the downtrend will continue. Did anyone notice that even if the COE drops by maybe $2K or $3K, Borneo hardly adjust their price by that much? Infact, they adjust to just about half the drop of COE! Almost all their major models are Thai made now, which means technically they should be a lot cheaper. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Someone told me that they make about $12K per car sold!!! Thats a bl00dy rip-off! Time to boycott Toyota!!

It is a choice of the individual to purchase and own an asset. What I fear for is those in the lower income group. They starts to buy car that are unafforable prior to COE going downhill and end up unable to afford to service the loan repayment due to poor financial planning.
