letting out, meaning?

zoik SG

selling i presume.

btw, i'm not singaporean..

[email protected] SG

oh selling. heh no.

max_headroom SG

It would be expensive. But it will still be cheaper then owning an airsoft legally

[email protected] SG

give a quote? just so i can compare

zoik SG

if talking about sg, i believe you need some kind of import licence as well as other paperwork just to be able to keep them.

would be easiest to just join the airsoft club in sg and ask them to keep your guns for you.

i'll probably end up doing that.

max_headroom SG

Don't you find that troublesome? Besides, it will be more expensive to own one legally and the choices are quite limited. Only GBB pistols and no AEGs

No skirmish too

zoik SG

hmm, well, if i'm bringing my gear over [at its height i had 30-40 odd guns] - then i might try and sort out some kind of arrangement. you never know, it might work out.
at least i wouldnt be buying my 15-year old collection all over again.

i recall speaking to some people who i think briefly ran a skirmish site in singapore, and they said that they shut down due to alot of pressure - but i still think theres a market for it..
and if not airsoft, theres RAM.

theres still that CQB RAM-based site operating in sg isnt there?
RAM comes in the form of M4's, MP5's and Glocks, and newly released are fully functional [cocking action and mag-empty non-functioning are features of the new system] Kalashnikov's.
Sure you'd need to wear heavy duty protection [think paintball] but you can apply real world firearms techniques in the deployment of these weapons.

afaik, there are AEG's legally in sg. i've seen them.

[email protected] SG

i used to belong to that airsoft club which ran ranges at marina sq n orchard pt.

max_headroom SG

That club was dead and buried a long long time ago. Fucked up equipments too. All their TM AEGs have very bad maintaince

I still remember it was a damn hassle to get in to the range and shoot and 1 bb cost about 10cents

FUCK! What a con job that place is. No wonder the boss got sued. Mad

zoik SG

i spoke to a couple of the guys there years ago.
they were quite nice, eager to chat about the kinda stuff you could do [outside of sg].

do you recall seeing posters up there for skirmishing? they said they were trying to get one going again.
obviously that never worked out..

is airsoftasia still operating?
how about the RAM CQB place?

[email protected] SG

agree. the management was not too gd.

the ground level workers were quite friendly tho.

zoik SG

ahahaha!
i didnt know about the boss or anything, i only spoke to the [young] guys actually running it.

yeah, nothing was in good shape, no sights, barely any pistols worked, etc but it was a bit of fun.
eheh, i forgot about all the paperwork involved in actually getting to fire what are, in effect, toys.

[email protected] SG

i got to play with the AEG M16, AKMS and FAMAS b4 they all broke. also managed to play with the M1911, Colt MK IVs and the Beretta 92Fs b4 they broke. I went quite a lot so sometimes they guys at orchard pt would give me a can of gas n let me fill it up myself.

say... what do u have in yr collection?

zoik SG

hehe cool

when i was last there i got to use the ak and famas, and the guy had just finished fixing his only remaining infinity that worked. so i had a free reign on that and the gas.

i had both airsoft and blank firers [i dont see those being legal in sg anytime!] that varied from 1911's, beretta's, uzi, mac11, cz75, m1 carbine, m60, m14, m4, m16, ak, g3, l85, l96, m60, sten mk6, m3a1, mp5, glocks, and the usual variants of each.

my collection numbers about 10 now.
i normally carry between 2-4 to each normal game, more and all the supplies etc for weekenders/48/72hr+ games.

max_headroom SG

So I take you know Louis eh? Still running the IPSC club. I heard he has a shop now at Beach Rd.
