Not sure which store has it but I know Sheares and Beach Road
army market sells Gerbers. Sheares can probably bring it in if they
don't have it but be prepared for a long wait and some mark up. you
can try to bring it in yourself by buying online. Cheaper but
slight hassle...
Do check the blade steel if you buy one... There are some
in 440A (bad), 420HC (not that bad) and Sandvic steel (best of the
3).
That's right.....
When it comes to stainless, it's important to get good metal. If
not, it won't hold its edge and tough to sharpen well....
If you have seen LMFII's promotional video on youtube, you'll
prolly be impressed but the spear making cababilty and chopper skin
cutting....
You can do all with any other knife...LMFII is a good
looker - I must admit I was damn gian for 1 week. But after
looking at other knives e.g. Fallkniven, Rat, Becker, etc...LMFII
starts to pale in comparison...
But that's just my opinion.
You can check out LMFII at Sheares Technology - they have one in
the display.
I'm with Loneriderz - serration is no-no for me, hard to sharpen
and it's practically impractical for a blade bigger than 4".
