Hi all,

Just added a new toy to my collection. It's a SOG Visionary 1.

Specs from SOG:

The SOG Visionary I features the same spectacular blade shape as the Spec Elite, with the handle of a Mini X-Ray Vision. The end result...a great blade in a small package!

People with big and small hands will find the Visionary I a pleasure to hold and carry. It has a finely textured Zytel handle that is both lightweight and ergonomic. Its ideal three-inch blade with slightly curved straight edge opens quickly and smoothly via SOG's Arc-Lock™. The Arc-Lock offers superior strength, speed, and ambidexterity.

I initially wanted to get it online and save around $50 but in the end, subcumbed to lust and work stress so needed something to defused it.

It came in uber sharpness and can slice paper in micro thin slices!!! Nice.

So far, loving it!

Man!x,

You can try Camper's Corner at Stanford House.

But why Spyderco?

Cheers.

SAF issued SOG is not paratool if you are wondering....also the blade is too narrow for anything serious....Signaler will find it more useful...

As EDC, you may like to try this little '$1.99' shop at Temple St. No, the blade there are not $1.99 but it's super cheap cos they are old stocks from Sng Arms....

You can find many old scool Gerber and some Buck knives for less than $30!!

I guess so, but at least it wont shock anyone when i am trying to clear a double feeding. in me SAR21. But then again i am inclined towards anything over the top.

Again, thanks for the great tip mate!

Double feeding won't need another tools except your pinkie le....it's more assuring to use your fingers to orh then to use a another medium....just like using a spatula to dig the nose....no feel! hahaha...

Victorinox SAK, bought 5 years ago at Beach Road. Those black marks are remnants of when I covered the entire white body in "permanent" marker. It's been sitting in my drawer for the past two years, untouched. Messy scratches on the blade from my sloppy (but successful) attempts at sharpening; unoiled.

Hi,

If you knife/knives is stainless, no need oil. Just keep it dry. If die-die need oil, use cooking oil if you are using it for cooking task as well. If not, any oil works. Facial oil also can!

It is illegal in Singapore. We do not dabble in illegal activities in SGF.

Hi Jerome,

You can find both Cold Steel and SOG at Sheares Technology Pte Ltd. It's located at here:

http://www.hotfrog.sg/Companies/Sheares-Technologies-Pte-Ltd

However, it is more expensive than you internet purchase + shipping!

And if you are looking for stainless steel, nothing beats Fallkniven A1 or F1. Check out my posts... :p
