I suppose many of us get jealous when others appear to be doing
better than us.. if some of us had our way, our motto would be “if
I can’t do it, no one else can” .. our closed environment and small
space seem to breed equally small mentalities. Just check out how
supportive we Singaporeans are of our own people competing abroad.
Miss Universe, singers.. etc. The most common comment I hear is
“ee-yer, Singapore one sure cannot make it lah.”
