the mission on October 3, 1993, where close to everything goes
wrong. The mission seems not that hard, about to take half an hour.
Things start going wrong when a Black Hawk helicopter is shot down
the real trouble begins. Since no man will be left behind the
mission has to change into a rescue mission. Another Black Hawk
goes down and hell breaks loose. The half hour mission becomes an
entire day disaster with lots of casualties.
Ultimately, one hundred-and-twenty-three U.S. troops were involved
in the Mogadishu conflict. Nineteen were killed, and one thousand
Somalis also perished.
