I am not so sure about us being immortal beings.Even if we do survive to travel through space. The universe MAY still succumb to "heat death". Unless we are able to find a parallel universe(not proven), we may just die out in the end.

These are not really -ve things compared to what humanity is doing right now at this time. War, pollution, mistrust, hunger, wastage of resources. We may not even survive for another 500 years.

On the other hand, we will await your scientific breakthrough in anti-matter theory or even cold fusion. Prehaps even tapping into 'strings' inside an atom that can alter the base structure? Neutral

its has been accepted that there should be infinite universe according to the comsmology and string theory

generally speaking the number of problems seems to outweigh out solutions we have

but maybe we will find one solution soon that renders all our problems useless.
