i've never been there but in general...

life will be lonely unless you make the effort to make friends.

living costs will be higher than sg. $150 per wk for rent, food and be as much or as little you want.

if you did jc, first year will be easy.

If you're a poly grad, it'll be a breeze. You'd have easily covered the 1st-2nd year of an undergraduate degree in the course of your diploma.

I advocate poly grads go beyond Australia though; reason being that stigma is already attached to you, an Australian degree wouldn't exactly redeem that. At least if you go to a UK/US university, higher chance you'll bypass the bias.

I dont study there... but I have many friends studying there...

Living costs - depends if u do part time, or not??

Coping with studies - What I heard from my friends is everyday, chiong ... Have fun... Still can pass leh ...

Friends - There is Singaporeans gathering in that area... Well... for first year, u can try to live in hostel ... then , find some1 that click ... u can move out and share a house with that some1.

Prospect - Most of my friends are able to get a reasonable job even with a normal ordinary pass. Companies will want to employ both local and oversea graduates as local and overseas are different blood.

lol... if u have the money, then go there and enjoy lor... u r young wat... enjoy first then say lah ...
