find a god-father, once you have a god-father you are immune to
office politics - in fact if your god-father is of enough seniority
in the opik, office politics revolve around you.
many a times, office politics cannot be helped, so, its important
to recognise from day one, the ppl that has influence in your
promotions and appraisals and make sure you are in their good books
- and just like what the stars like to do, once a while, chat with
your boss and make sure you talk about something that they
like.
Cover your arse...thats the most important survival tactic,
especially if your position is sensitive and ppl around you are
waiting to stab you. everything black and white, everything sign
and chop. Also, draw lines, not blatantly but subtedly, do it
untill the other party know you are drawing line but LL cannot do
anything to you....thats the ultimate keke.
