Ok I found the article from Friday...
--------------
IT ONLY opens next year, but the Singapore Flyer, an iconic giant
observation wheel which stands 165 metres high over Raffles Avenue,
is already stirring up a lot of buzz.
In the last two months, around 100,000 people have already
pre-booked their rides on the Flyer. With such a positive response,
it seems that the Flyer might be fully booked for its first three
months when it opens in February next year.
Out of these 100,000, half are corporate bookings, while the other
half were reserved by travel agencies.
The Singapore Flyer, which cost a whopping $240 million to build,
will comprise 28 fully air-conditioned glass capsules.
With each capsule able to accomodate 30 passengers, everyone inside
can enjoy a bird's eye-view of Singapore's city and beyond while
the 'capsule' rotates around the wheel.
Each ride costs $29.50 per person, and lasts for 37 minutes.
For those willing to fork out $1,000 or more, they can even book an
entire private capsule for themselves.
This means they can also customise the capsule to meet their needs
- from adding dining tables and chairs for a glitzy dinner, to
having a themed wedding bash on board.
For normal passengers, canapes and
pastries will be served on board, and you can also select from a
variety of wines and champagnes. An in-flight host will also be
available on request.
The Singapore Flyer is slated to open by Valentine's Day next
year.
