Any of you run a small/medium comapany should be very wary if
you ever encounter a post from swiss from a company called nova
channel. it contains a form and claims that it will get you free
listing on their super whooperdirectory in Europe. then right at
the botom ofthe page, you see a space for you to sign with a
company seal.
what you might not have noticed would be that before that there is
a small 5 line sentence written in mini font that states that you
are willing to pay Euro 998 + what 99+ more euro for a print fo
your company in their premium edition. the buck doesn't stop there
though, i've read that this payment thing is supposed to go for 3
long years..
you'll receive an inovice 2-3 months later with the date ofthe
letter stating that there is a cooling period of ten days from the
print of the invoice should you change your mind and cancel the
oreder, guess what, the letter doesn;t reach you within 10 days or
less, it reaches you 3 weeks letter.. Great isn't?
So i went into Red Alert mode, and wrote an email and ask them why
did i need to pay when i had not applied for that and told them to
send me a fax which showed that i had wanted this 'premium edition'
..
wow, they work so fast, they scan a copy in pdf mode with
enlargement to show me the tiny winy fonts that is ssupposed to be
made very clear(on the original form) to denote that anyone who
sign and chop is willing to make the premium order. Yea
right!!
Well i already send them 2 fax copies stating that i do not intent
to pay a single cent and demended the contract to be anulled and
void with immediate effect.
If they persists, i'll drop by the swiss embassy and make a formal
complaint..
Just to let you folks know as this company has being sending this
so called 'free listing' forms all over the world targeting small
and medium enterprises.
