of our earplugs box, would be ironic if that was what it was,
though I doubt it, hard to get to.
One far out possibility, and this is extreme guesswork, is a
field survival kit? Remember my E&E, part of the kit when
working in foreign teritory is a written note in the native
language asking for help (and SAF promise of reward)
and some local currency. Maybe they put it there? But it’s extreme
speculation without more info. For all we know, it might be his
GPS.
