Asking for contacts from gals

Yesterday,I was introduced to this gal.We had a decent time together.Towards the end while we were about to depart,I asked her whether is it possible for us to have coffee together.Her reply was affirmative.But when I asked her "how are we going to keep in contact?" i.e asking for her number indirectly.She sounded less than enthusiastic.In retrospect,I should have asked for her contacts so soon after I got to know her.I should have hanged out with her(in a group with my friend who introduced her to me) a few more times before asking.

But to clinch the deal,you have to ask.If you do not do anything,nothing will happen.But you must be prepared for rejection though,with that mentality,you would not feel so bad after all. To me it is "reject reject lah,big f*** issit?" Wink

I think having coffee together would not scare the gal off compared to asking her for a proper date straight away.I feel that it has "less strings attached"and is on a "casual level."

Thinking of this matter now and after discussing it with my friends,this indirect approach does not seem very indirect actually.Ermmm...what I had in mind was to "make the situation less tense and awkward." Whatever I have confidence in myself is for me to judge. Wink

what i think is that you should say "can we keep in contact by exchanging numbers?" rather than "how are we going to keep in contact?" .. because it's like you are asking her a question on how to contact u, and the answer she'll give u is probably "by phone"..

Usually some girls are reserved the first time around. Hang around with her more, let her understand your character better. In other words, build up a good impression and chances are, she will not hesitate to exchange contacts the next time round.
