Parka SG Yah, just copy over can use already. There's almost always an equivalent software version for the Mac. E.g. Office for Windows, Office for Mac. Nowadays there are really a lot of free, good and legalsoftwares around.
MooKu SG But even so... it'll be a good few years more before I change my computer... I'd wanted that one... the one without a CPU... just a screen and then the CD thingy pops out from the side..... *pout* I saw it at the IT fair just a few days after my HP was delivered. *pout again*
Parka SG The trick to converting them is to remind them of the pain they had to suffer through when they lost files through crashes.
Båseline SG I had another system in a G4 desktop... can't remember which processor is that but that one was wif me for more than 5 years before I finally sold off to get a first gen G5. No problems wif the HD somemore after for so long but the dust and all was inevitable la. The oni problem I forsee is the lifespan of the HD... other than that ... I'm quite sure it will serve u good for many years to come.
SGpork SG back back.. wa didnt know mac so good.. maybe if i wanna get a lappy... then ill get a mac 1..
^tamago^ SG i think that'll be too late can u try converting ferret then? her PC just crashed, and she has a iMac 17" at work.
Båseline SG Dear Mookie.. if no CPU... how teh computer can startup at all? That one u mentioned is a iMac... the CPU and screen + the drives and all in one shell.
^tamago^ SG my G4 is working well, but i'm also worried that the HDD will give way. it seems like a bugbear of a previous generation. and SSD is still costing too much for mass market.
