what about reit? the payouts were quite good right?

my mom has an equity fund that pays about 4% p.a.
but the thing is the value of her investment dropped by about 4%
too
she's been holding on to it for about 3 years already
once the value goes up, dunno whether we should continue holding or
let go
it's in USD & EUR...
