Any methods to prolong enlisment date?

i'm currently 17 and will be 18 as of march 2011.

at the moment i am studying in china. is there any way i can stay in china longer and or have a later enlistment date?

simply put, is there any ways whatsoever i can join the army later?

Get a letter from your institute certifying your status as a student.

Should you be called up for enlistment while you're still studying, submit this letter to CMPB along with a request to defer enlistment until graduation.

In that case, no.

Your excuse for deferment will last only as long as you are still studying at JC/poly level or equivalent.

Once you've graduated, the excuse disappears.

Even if you are planning to go to uni, you will still be expected to serve out your NS liability first.

Renounce Singapore citizenship, and get it in china, you need not worry about enlistment ever ever ever again.
